What this solves
Athens has 5 fare products. Buying singles is correct for a 1-2 ride day. The 24h ATH.ENA Ticket (€4.50 in 2025/26) wins on a 5+ ride day. The 3-day Tourist Ticket (€22) wins on day 2-3 only when you include the airport metro. The 5-day Tourist Ticket is rarely worth it. This tool models all five for your real itinerary and tells you which wins.
Calculator
How to read the result
The output is a card per ticket product showing total cost for your group. The "winner" card is the one that costs least. A common surprise: the 3-day Tourist Ticket only wins if you actually use it 6+ times AND include the airport. The 5-day Tourist Ticket is rarely the cheapest because it caps daily use but the ATH.ENA 24h is already €4.50.
Note the airport Line 3 metro ride is €9 — the only exception to the standard €1.20 single. If you take the metro from the airport, the Tourist Ticket covers it; the 24h ATH.ENA does not cover the airport.
Limitations
- The Tourist Ticket prices (€22 / €44 for 5-day) are reference values. OASA adjusts them periodically; the calculator does not update mid-year.
- The 24h ATH.ENA Ticket covers metro Lines 1, 2, 3 (excluding airport), tram, trolley, and most buses. Airport surcharges are separate.
- Group tickets: ATH.ENA is per person. Tourist Tickets are also per person. The calculator multiplies correctly per pax.
- If you travel with kids under 6, they don't need one. Ages 7-18 are half-price on most OASA products.
FAQ
Where do I buy them?
All OASA products are sold at metro station ticket offices, the airport metro station, and any kiosk with an OASA sign. The ATH.ENA 24h can also be tapped via contactless card at the turnstile.
Does the Tourist Ticket include Acropolis entry?
No — only transport. Acropolis entry is a separate Ministry of Culture ticket (€20 in summer / €10 in winter). Some packages combine them, sold by third-party operators, but the OASA product is transport-only.
What about the tram to the beach?
Tram Line T1 (Syntagma to Piraeus) and T2/T3/T4/T5 (coastal tram to Voula, Glyfada, Piraeus) are all included in the ATH.ENA 24h and Tourist Tickets. Useful for the coastal tram to Glyfada or Flisvos beach.

About this tool
Built because the Athens tourist blog ecosystem pushes the "buy the Tourist Ticket" advice for everyone — but the ATH.ENA 24h is half the price for a single busy day, and the Tourist Ticket only pays off on 4+ day trips with the airport included.
